Welcome to Our Web Site
Our four Churches are situated in North
Bedfordshire approximately 8 miles North of
Bedford off the A6, The benefice is a member of
the Anglican Communion in the Deanery of
Sharnbrook and the Diocese
of St. Albans.
St. Peter's Sharnbrook is the
larger of the four parishes and
associated with H.E. Bates
well-known character 'Uncle
Silas'. It has a fine thirteenth century Church
remodelled from the earlier Norman building. The
river Ouse forms the southern boundary.

St. Mary’s Felmersham parish,
south of the Ouse, includes
the nearby hamlet of Radwell
and has the largest Church,
built by the monks of Lenten
Priory between 1220 and 1240 and one of the finest
Early English Gothic buildings in the region.
QUICK LINKS:
The benefice of Felmersham joined with Sharnbrook and Knotting with Souldrop on 1st. September 2005 and
Revd. Robert Evens became Rector of the united benefice. The ministry of the benefice is normally covered by
the Rector with the occasional help of locally resident retired clergy.

Diocese of Urbino in Italy.
Everyone is welcome at all of our Churches. We meet every Sunday for Worship and to learn more about our
faith. We want our Churches to be accessible to people of all ages and (dis)abilities. St. Peters has a sound
system including a 'T loop' for those with hearing difficulties. Ramps for wheelchair access are also provided.
If you want to know more please join us at any service.
The smaller parishes of All Saints - Souldrop and
St. Margaret of Antioch – Knotting, with it’s small unique
Church of Saxon origin, complete the united benefice.
